Turner Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church boasts a rich history dating back to 1853 and its initial congregation of 37 members. Today Turner Chapel AME Church has grown to include more than 5,500 members and 100 ministries designed to meet the spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial needs of church members and the community at large. From this heritage of community service, Turner Hill Community Development Corporation was created.
Turner Hill Community Development Corporation, also known as the Turner Hill CDC, incorporated as a community housing development organization and received its 501 (c) (3) in 2002. Two distinct programs are overseen by The Turner Hill CDC: The Turner Hill CDC Women’s Transitional Home and the Harmony House Program.
