“Harmony House has been a life changing experience for me.  When I was accepted in the program, I was scared, hopeless, and had nowhere to turn.  I was in and out of jail for years and had a long-term problem with drugs and alcohol.

But one day, complete strangers took me in and showed me a way of life that was different than I ever knew.  They gave me a place to stay and helped me find employment.  They talked to me about loving myself, making good decisions, saving money, and planning for my future.  Through positive role models and open discussions, I learned what it takes to stay clean and sober and to be a good person, a good friend, and a good father.

Today, I am in management for a major construction firm.  My two young girls now look at me with excitement and pride.  And because I have learned to forgive and heal, I have developed relationships with family members, after decades of disappointment and absence.”
